MY NEW CHARMED LIFE

Since coming to live with my mom my every need is met. I get toys all year round to play with, and Mom takes me almost everywhere she goes! How's that for living the good life?

Spoiled? Me? I wouldn't say I'm spoiled as much as that I am well cared for. Every dog needs things like toys, walks, friends, gift wrapped presents to open on major holidays, special treats, grand adventures and fun things to go do.

I don't know how I would survive without them. Oh wait, yeah I do since I probably did before I came to live here. Anyways, my future looks bright and I'm loving every minute of it!

At left is a picture of me on my first outing to a real live beach where I wanted to chase waves and birds, but mom didn't bring my long leash, though I did get to dig lots of holes in the sand. Mom air brushed my leash out of the picture at left but it was there. She never let's me off of the leash because she says its dangerous, whatever that means. The photo was taken by a lady named Wendy Maclaurin Richardson who takes pictures for a living. We had a great time at the beach and I can't wait to go again.

BARK IN THE PARK

Each year Mom takes me to
a great Doggie Festival! We go
for hours and I get to meet and
sniff hundreds of dogs! Woo
Hoo, it's Bark in the Park! Mom
read that each year around 3000
dogs show up for this once a year
festival for people and their
pooches. There's lots of booths,
all dog related supplies and
services. And lots of demos.

Bark in the Park 2007
We go every year! It's one of my most favorite things to do.

t shirt

My super kewl new t-shirt

Here I am in my new t-shirt from my friend Keith. He has a tv show where he explains stuff.

Then on my walk I found a tennis ball and decided to bring it home with me. It was in the intersection a few blocks from my house. Woo hoo what a great day!

The shirt says:

Keith Explains!
Where poo goes after mommy picks it up...What barking really means... Appropriate gifts for royalty... Proper butt-sniffing etiquette... The hundreds of ways cats totally suck... World Peace... Good things to chase.... When best to roll in smelly things... Where to bury chew toys... How to handle dog breath... Fetching slippers - bad idea?... Yay! You're home!

My First Raw Meaty Bone!

I only scraped off the meat and tissue then mom took it away. No bone chewing for this pup.
Mom heard I could crack or wreck my teeth on a big ol' beef bone like this one. For those
unfamiliar with the concept of raw feeding it's a common practice among many pet owners
to feed raw instead of kibble, canned or prepared foods. It's a science really with a prefect
combination of meat, organs, bone and even vegetables to supplement and create a very
natural and balanced diet for their pets. Kitai is not fed raw, but the raw meaty bones are
said to keep a dogs teeth sparkling white, which is better then having them put under at the
vets for a cleaning so that's why he's now going to be chomping on a RMB now and then.

Here's What I Eat!

Mom rotates my food and feeds me two different foods at a time! One kind for breakfast and one for dinner. Mom likes to feed me holistic brand dog foods that are really healthy for me. Most are high in meat and low in grains and preservatives. My treats are PCI chicken jerky and have no preservatives.

Mom also feeds me treats of cooked and a little raw chicken, canned salmon, brown rice, bananas, apple, carrots, cheese, blueberries (I LOVE BLUEBERRIES), turkey and whatever else she's eating if it's healthy and dog safe.

Here is my best gift from Xmas 2006
So
my coolest Christmas gift this year is my new Pylones retractable leash! Oh Mom is so happy for me that her boyfriend, who swore he wouldn't get me a gift, changed his mind and went and picked up this very snappy leash she had had her eye on! We will only use it for special occasions as it's really too nice to use as an everyday leash. So now that's two cool leashes I have... Last year my Great Aunt sent me a retractable leash with a flashlight and radio built into it. Hmmmm Mom will have to add a picture of that one as well. What can I say? I'm styling!

Once we have a photo shoot Mom will also add all of the cool toys I got this year!

Here is my Christmas Diary entry from 2005.... What a great Christmas! Everytime I turned around there was another beautifully wrapped gift... So of course I got to work and tore off all of those bows and wrapping paper! Mom discovered my first year here that I was quite an accomplished gift opener.

So here's what I got:

A beautiful red water bowl for the bedroom from Gina & Michael
"CLICK HERE to watch me open this one step by step!"

A big bag of compressed rawhide chew sticks from Gina & Michael
A super cool tug-a-war rope toy from my neighbors Bob and Linda
A squeaky Isaac Mizrahi shoe toy from Auntie R.
A beautiful doggie photo album from Auntie R.
$$$ from Auntie J. think I might have to go buy me some cookies!
A plush Snowman from Sally
A plush squeaky pug from Mom
A oool collar tag from Mom
A cool new leash from Mom cause my old one was getting pretty grungy!
Hopefully there will be some late-comers... A pup can never have too many presents!

Hmmmmmm Come to think of it, how come my Granny, who I love and adore so much failed to send little ol' mwa a gift?

I'm sure she sent her human grandchildren presents... And me? Nothing! Nadda! Zero! Zilch!

*Sighs and sinks to the floor, sadly putting head on his front paws and looking up with a sad little boo boo face*

I guess I just don't rate... I love you anyways Granny... Don't feel guilty or anything but here it is... Christmas Day and I think you forgot me... Again.

Time will heal my pain.

And some therapy.
